Ramon Sabes Figuera

Ramon Sabes-Higuera graduated from Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) with a degree in Economics in 1998 and a Master's degree in Biomedical Sociology in 2007 from the London School of Economics in the United Kingdom.
In 1998 he began his professional career as a researcher at the UPF Center for Research in Economics and Health (CRES). And in 2004 he joined as an analyst in the Health Technology Assessment Unit of the Lain Entralgo Agency (Ministry of Health, Regional Government of Madrid) as head of the economic evaluation area.
From 2007 to 2012 he worked as a researcher at the Center for the Economics of Mental Health (CEMH, currently called Kings Health Economics) of the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London (United Kingdom). In 2012 he joined as a researcher at the Joint Research Center of the European Commission.
Since 2015 he has worked as an analyst at the Catalan Institute for the Evaluation of Public Policies.
He is an associate professor in the Department of Economics and Business at UPF, where he teaches a course on economic evaluation of public policies.
He collaborates with the group Evaluation of health technologies in Primary Care and Mental Health (PRISMA) since 2008 and is a collaborating member of the CRES of UPF.
He has led and participated in research projects and in the preparation of technical reports and academic articles in various areas, such as the analysis of health systems, the economic evaluation of health technologies or the evaluation of the impact of ICT (eHealth) in systems. sanitary. He has also participated as a teacher in various undergraduate, graduate, and professional courses on economic evaluation.
