Mercè Ginjaume Egido

Researcher Mercè Ginjaume graduated in Physical Sciences in 1983 from the University of Barcelona and received her Doctor of Science degree from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 1992. She also completed a Master of Science degree at University College Dublin (Ireland) in 1985.
In 1986, she joined the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) as a researcher and since 2010 she has been the director of research at the UPC. He teaches in the master's degree in biomedical engineering UB-UPC. She is a researcher at the Center for Research in Biomedical Engineering (CREB) and the Institute of Energy Techniques (INTE) of the UPC and member of the consolidated research group on Dosimetry and Medical Radiophysics (SGR1764-2017).
She has been Vice President of the Spanish Society for Radiation Protection from 2013 to 2015 and President of 2015 to 2017. She has been actively involved in the management and management of INTE, initially as Deputy Director and from 2005 to 2011 as director. She has also been a member of the CREB Board since its founding.
Her main field of research is the dosimetry of ionizing radiation in the medical field. It emphasizes its collaboration in several European working groups of the EURADOS network and of IRPA, and the direction and participation in several European projects.
