Investigador
Research group
The researcher Juan Ramos Castro received the degree of telecommunications engineer in 1992 from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and obtained his Doctor of Telecommunications Engineering degree in 1997. Since 1998 he has been a full professor of the University Polytechnic of Catalonia in the Department of Electronic Engineering where he gives courses on electronic and biomedical instrumentation. He is currently co-director of the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia.
His research interests are the design of very low noise measurement instrumentation for biomedical and spatial applications.
He is currently leading the research line in instrumentation and measurement systems within the group of Electronic and Biomedical Instrumentation at the UPC. The objectives of this line are the development of biopotential measurement circuits with applications in ECG, EEG and EMG, image processing by contactless physiological variables extraction and validation of biomedical equipment.
