The Institute
The Institut de Recerca Sant Joan de Déu (IRSJD) is a research and innovation center in biomedicine. The IRSJD was created in 2015 through a collaboration agreement between the SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital, the Universitat de Barcelona, the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, the Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu and the Fundació de Recerca Sant Joan de Déu. In 2020, the IRSJD became a CERCA center of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital
The SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital is a private non-profit institution with a vocation for public service. Since 1867 it has been dedicated to the comprehensive care of women, children, and adolescents and, today, one of the most important pediatric high specialized centers in Europe. Their assistance base on the multidisciplinary work of their professionals and on the quality research of theirs researchers.

To become a highly-resolute community hospital establishes links with the agents in the territory, an organization that accompanies people with mental health problems throughout their lives and prioritizes quality of care.
Fundació de Recerca Sant Joan de Déu
The Fundació de Recerca Sant Joan de Déu is an entity created in 2002 to cover research activities, both in the biomedical and in the field the social, in the SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital, in the Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu and in other centres of the Orden Hospitalaria Sant Joan de Déu- Provincia de Aragón San Rafael. The Fundació manages the Institut de Recerca Sant Joan de Déu.
