Resume
The European Foundation for Alcohol Research is an independent European alcohol research foundation, established in Brussels in 2003. ERAB was established to fund biomedical and psychosocial research into beer and other alcoholic drinks.
This initiative is supported by The Brewers of Europe, the voice of the brewing industry in Europe, whose members are the national brewing trade associations, representing more than 90% of European beer production.
ERAB offers travel awards for young researchers to attend and present data at conferences
Requirements
- Awards are open to European researchers under the age of 35 working in the field of alcohol research;
- The awards are dependent on having an abstract accepted at the conference: the applicant must be the first author;
- Applications are restricted to one every three years;
- Awards will only cover travel and registration claims;
- ERAB may not be able to support multiple applications from one research group.Funding
- Applications for travel outside the EU should receive up to the full allocation of €1,500
- Applications for travel within the EU should receive up to €750
How to apply
- Details of meeting to be attended (this may be in any country in the world).
- Copy of abstract submitted to the meeting. The applicant must be the first named author.
- Confirmation of support from head of Department.
-Brief (maximum 1 side A4) C.V. detailing academic career and any previous publications or abstracts.
- Details of the funding requested.
