Introduction

  • AMIF is the EU programme dedicated to support measures for integrating migrants and asylum seekers.

  • AMIF aims to further boost national capacities and improve procedures for migration management, as well as to enhance solidarity and responsibility sharing between Member States, in particular through emergency assistance and the relocation mechanism.

Objective of the call

  • The objective of the call is to improve the outreach towards migrants and their access to information regarding healthcare, including mental healthcare.

  • The call will fund projects that look into tools and methods to improve the awareness of migrants on rights and possibilities to access healthcare according to the laws and rules of the specific country of stay as well as their understanding of the healthcare system.

  • The objective is to ensure that migrants can effectively integrate into the existing healthcare systems rather than necessitating changes to the systems themselves.

Requisits

Eligible activities
Proposals should include one or more of the following activities:

  • Increase the awareness of migrants about their healthcare-related rights and opportunities, including outreach activities for vulnerable groups, e.g. migrants with low educational attainment, isolated migrants, migrants with specific needs, and the elderly.

  • Activities to co-design healthcare-related integration support measures with migrants, with migrant women and organisations representing their interests.

  • Training workshops, mutual learning and awareness-raising activities to raise awareness among public officials, including policymakers and professionals (e.g. authorities in charge of integration support measures and healthcare authorities and professionals) of the specific needs and situation of migrants and migrant women in accessing healthcare.

  • Conferences, workshops and mutual learning activities aimed at exchanging experience and disseminating good practices concerning effective access to healthcare for migrants in general and migrant women in particular among policy makers and integration support providers.

  • Proposed activities should take into account the diversity of healthcare providers, not just hospital and medical centres, but also private healthcare professionals.

Eligible applicants

  • The applicants must be legal entities established in one of the AMIF eligible countries.

  • Profit-making entities can not apply as coordinators.

  • Projects must include key partners such as national public authorities, local and regional authorities, economic and social partners, employers, social economy actors, and civil society organisations, including migrant organisations and local communities, as appropriate for each topic.

Partnership criteria

  • Minimum five partners from five different participating Member States.
