Objectiu de la convocatòria
JPND was established in 2009 to enable participating EU Member States to work together on the challenge of age-related neurodegenerative diseases, in particular Alzheimer's. In the past five years, tremendous progress has been made by JPND in terms of increasing coordination, collaboration and alignment between national research programmes and projects related to neurodegenerative diseases.

Característiques principals
The call aims to establish a limited number of ambitious, innovative, multi-national and multi-disciplinary collaborative research projects that will add value to existing research in three JPND priority areas:

  • Longitudinal Cohort Approaches
  • Advanced Experimental Models
  • Risk and Protective Factors
Twenty JPND member countries are participating in the call and applications are invited from collaborative consortia of researchers from participating countries. Under Horizon 2020, the European Commission is providing additional funding to ‘top up’ the funding that is being made available through national/regional funding organisations.
  •

    Requisits
Each proposal must involve a minimum of three and a maximum of eight (3 - 8 ) research groups (principal investigators) applying for funding. Only transnational projects will be funded: each consortium must involve funded research groups from at least three different countries of the funding organisations participating in this call (see section 1). For reasons of transnational balance, no more than two research groups from the same country are allowed to join a consortium.
