Investigators leading innovative research projects that have the potential to advance the implementation of personalised treatment for solid tumours are invited to apply. Potential research topics which could be funded through the Grant for Oncology Innovation include: Research on molecular biomarkers or new targeted treatments, technology platforms for the routine analysis of molecular biomarkers, side effect management and platforms or tools which allow patients to access individualised treatment.

Elegibility

Researchers from around the world may apply for the grant if they are leading innovative research projects to advance the use of personalised medicine in cancer treatment.

We are particularly interested in:

-Access to personalised treatment/care for patients

-Innovative research with clinical relevance and benefits for patients

-Solid tumour malignancies

Applicants must be aware that (in some particular cases) to be eligible to apply they must have preliminary data, with positive outcomes (data will be requested as part of the application procedure).

How to aply:

Step 1: Applicants should send an e-mail (goi@emdserono.com) expressing their interest. They will then receive a reply inviting them to complete a 2 page letter of intent and provide a brief description of their research project, including supportive data. The letter of intent should be in Ariel text, font size 11.

Step 2: Applicants should submit their completed letter of intent including details of their project. In response they will receive an acknowledgement of the completion of their submission, which concludes the initial application process. Please note: A full study proposal is not required at this stage, only the 2 page letter of intent.
