Description of the Call: The RDA TIGER Cascade Grants, part of the RDA TIGER project funded by the European Commission, aim to support the adoption and development of outputs from the Research Data Alliance (RDA) Working Groups. The RDA TIGER project, which stands for Research Data Alliance facilitation of Targeted International working Groups for EOSC-related Research solutions, is dedicated to enhancing the interoperability of Open Science solutions within the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).
The project supports Working Groups (WGs) that align, harmonize, and standardize Open Science developments and technologies globally. It is coordinated by the RDA-Association, with partners including the Committee on Data of the International Science Council (CODATA), the Netherlands eScienceCenter, and the Data Archiving and Networking Services (DANS). The services provided by RDA TIGER facilitate coherent and consistent WG definitions, increasing the impact of key European initiatives on a global scale.
The Cascade Grants are open to both RDA WGs and external organizations that wish to adopt RDA recommendations. These grants aim to enhance the activities of WGs, including the adoption and further development of their outputs, thereby contributing to the international engagement and alignment of policies, technologies, methodologies, and practices related to EOSC and European Open Science developments.
The total budget made available with this cascade grants call is 50,000 EUR.
We expect to award between 3 and 5 grants with a funding range between 10,000 - 16,666 EUR, depending on applications received.
The proposed budget in grant applications needs to be based on estimated actual, eligible costs of the planned activity.
