The European Association of Cardiothoracic Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (EACTAIC), formerly known as the European Association of Cardiothoracic Anaesthesiologists (EACTA), is an international European forum for scientific discussions and exchange of ideas in the area of cardiothoracic anaesthesia and related topics. Research grants are available for European researchers in cardiothoracic anaesthesia and related topics.

EACTA administers a Research Grants programme to support the work of European researchers working in the field of cardiothoracic anaesthesia.

The total research grant value is €30,000, which may be split into three smaller grants of €10,000 each.

Applicants must be EACTAIC members and aged of 40 years or younger and are either intending specialist or within the first years of appointment as a cardiothoracic specialist. Preference will be given to young researchers, either intending specialists or within the first years of appointment as a cardiothoracic specialist.
