Objective

The Martín Villar Haemostasis Awards aim to recognize the value of young investigators who have devoted their activities to basic or clinical research on haemostasis and blood coagulation disorders. By rewarding the best published scientific work, the program aims to encourage further studies in this field.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for the Martin Villar Award program:

Researchers until the age of 40

Publications in English during 2014 in any of the international journals referenced in the science citation index

Basic research includes preclinical animal studies and in vitro studies

Clinical research includes any studies requiring patient informed consent, including treatment of patients and/or use of patient samples (e.g. for biomarker analysis, genotyping and diagnostics)

Case reports and reviews are excluded

Studies sponsored by industry are excluded
