Description:

The Wiley Prize in Biomedical Sciences is intended to recognize breakthrough research in pure or applied life science research that is distinguished by its excellence, originality, and impact on our understanding of biological systems and processes.

The award may recognize a specific contribution or series of contributions that demonstrate the nominee's significant leadership in the development of research concepts or their clinical application. Particular emphasis will be placed on research which champions novel approaches and challenges accepted thinking in the biomedical sciences.

The Wiley Foundation invites and encourages the nomination of exceptional scientists or research teams whose research has set the standard for excellence.

The evaluations of each nominee will depend on the information provided in the nomination packages. Therefore it is important that the nominations be as complete, current, and accurate as possible.

The nomination should be submitted by someone other than the nominee.More than one nomination can be made from the same organization.International nominations are encouraged.

How to apply

In case of interest, please contact with FSJD Research's Department no later than July 24th 2015.

Submit by Mail:

To include one (1) ORIGINAL and three (3) COPIES of the nomination package no later than July 31 of the current year.

Nomination packages shall include:

- A cover letter consisting of a short summary (150 words or fewer) describing the significance of the work in its field.

- Supporting letters from colleagues familiar with the nominee's work. (Note: these may be either included with the nomination package or mailed separately)

- The nominee's Curriculum Vitae.
