Introduction
The European Society for Clinical Investigation (ESCI) was established in 1976 and is a pan-European society. The purpose of the ESCI is to unite clinicians and scientists in order to advance research into the mechanisms of disease. The society hopes to create a forum for discussion and debate amongst its members.
Call objectives
ESCI Exploratory Research Grants are available annually to support translational research covering one of the area of interest of the society, which is conducted in one European institution.
The maximum duration of the project is 18 months.
Budget
Two grants are available each year. Each grant has a value of €10,000 and also includes a free 2-year ESCI membership.

Eligibility
Eligible applicants are basic or clinical researchers residing in Europe. The applicant must be under 40 years old at the time of submitting the application.
