Maria José Corral López

Mª José Corral has a degree in Psychology since 2000 and obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Barcelona in 2008.

During her training as an intern (FPI) she made several stays in German research centers (Institut für Allgemeine Psychologie, Universität Leipzig and Psychologisches Institut, Johannes Gutenberg-University of Mainz) and as a lecturer from 2009 to 2014 she visited several higher education centers north -americans (Harvard, MIT, University of Massachusetts, New Yale and Brown University).

She is an associate professor in the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychobiology at the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Barcelona. Currently she coordinates the training of teachers of the Faculty of Psychology in the Institute of Professional Development, Institute of Education Sciences (IDP-ICE).

Her focus of scientific interest revolves around the study of relational autonomy, both for its involvement in learning, and in the health of people. On one hand, facilitating strategies to encourage ongoing training throughout life. On the other hand, analyzing the underlying biological bases to favor the welfare of the most vulnerable populations.
