The researcher María Ángeles Jurado graduated in Psychology in 1991 from the University of Barcelona and obtained her PhD in Neuropsychology from the University of Barcelona in 1995.
Since 2001 she has been a full professor at the University of Barcelona and has been co-coordinator of the external service of the Faculty of Psychology of Neuropsychological Diagnosis and Rehabilitation since 2007.
He is currently leading the Obesity Neuropsychology research group that seeks to characterize cerebral obesity, with an emphasis on biomarkers that could act as mediators between phenotypic body weight and behavioral expression. They are also evaluating the impact of executive function training on food choice and the quality of life status of obese children.
