Research line:
New care models in complex chronicity and pediatric palliative care
Researcher Sílvia Ricart graduated in Medicine in 2002 from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She completed her residency in Pediatrics and specific areas at the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu (Esplugues de Llobregat) and obtained her Doctorate in Pediatrics from the University of Barcelona in 2016. She pursued a postgraduate diploma in research methodology (bio-statistics in health sciences) at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, completed in 2011. Since 2017, she has been an associate professor at the University of Barcelona.
In 2007, she joined as an assistant pediatrician at the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu, initially in pediatric hospitalization and since 2013 also in the Complex Chronic and Pediatric Palliative Care Service (C2P2 Service). Currently, she combines clinical work with research in the field of chronicity, complexity, and palliative care needs in pediatrics.
