Investigador pre-doc
Research group
Researcher Míriam Febrer is a doctoral student and part-time professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) in Barcelona. She received a degree in Industrial Engineering with a degree in Automation in 2014 from ETSEIB (UPC) and a master's degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2016 from UPC-UB.
She joined the BIOMEC research group to work on the HIPART project, coordinating a clinical study with patients with total hip arthroplasty.
She is currently developing her doctorate in predicting human movement using optimal control techniques, with the aim of customizing the driver of a knee orthosis for subjects with spinal cord injuries. From January to June 2018, she did a pre-doctoral research internship at Rice Computational Neuromechanics Lab (Rice University, Houston, Texas, USA) to train in predicting human movement using subject-adapted biomechanical models.
