Jordina Tor holds a degree in psychology from the University of Barcelona (year 2010), a master's degree in clinical and health psychology from the University of Barcelona (year 2012), and a PhD in psychology from the University of Barcelona (2021).
Deputy 2012, she has been a researcher in the child and adolescent mental health research line at the Institut de Recerca Sant Joan de Déu · SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital.
Throughout her professional and academic career, she has devoted her research to the early detection and investigation of psychotic disorders in children and adolescents. She has completed her doctoral thesis titled "Risk of psychosis in the child and adolescent population: clinical and cognitive characteristics."
At present, she is employed as a study coordinator in the clinical trial titled "Placebo-controlled trial in subjects at Ultra-high Risk for Psychosis with Omega-3 fatty acids in Europe (PURPOSE)". Additionally, she is a researcher, collaborating in various funded projects with public and private funds, both national and European, in the domain of child and adolescent psychosis. She is a member of the ENIGMA clinical high risk working group. She has authored numerous publications in scholarly journals, specifically in the domain of psychosis and high clinical risk states. Her publications have experienced a significant increase in citation and publication rate in the past year. She has submitted five manuscripts for review in journals with a high-impact factor (Q1 and D1), where she is among the first three authorship positions. Additionally, two of her publications have been published as preprints on the researchsquare and medrxiv platforms, in addition to the ones that have already published.
She has received four awards for the presentation of poster communications (two of which were for first authorship), she has made oral communications and posters for various national and international conferences, and she has participated in symposia at national conferences.
She has recently participated as a teacher in training courses at the SJD Barcelona Child and other external centres.

23% of adolescents at risk of psychosis end up developing the disorder
The study led by the Research in Child and Adolescent Mental Health team reveals that one in four adolescents at clinical risk of psychosis end up developing this mental disorder within 18 months.
