Montse Cairó Calzada graduated in Biology in 2009 from the University of Barcelona and obtained her PhD in Biomedicine from the University of Barcelona in 2017.
Subsequently, and following the line of research begun during her doctoral thesis, she continued as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Barcelona where she currently studies the autophagic mechanisms involved in the pathophysiology of adipose tissue.
