Juan Tornín Cavielles obtained a master's degree in "Cancer Research" at the Faculty of Medicine of Oviedo. He obtained his PhD in this same specialty in 2017 from the same university.
He is a Postdoctoral Researcher of the project "Atmospheric Pressure Plasma meets Biomaterials for Bone Cancer Healing - APACHE" led by Dr. Cristina Canal Barnils.
During his time as a PhD student, Juan Tornín has contributed to generate relevant publications in the field of cancer research, highlighting the generation of the first model of human Mixoid Liposarcoma from mesenchymal stem cells.
