Researcher Lucía Navarro Marchena graduated in Medicine in 2011 from the University of Cádiz, obtaining a specialization in Pediatrics and Specific Areas in 2016 (specialty completed at the Virgen del Rocío University Hospital, Seville).
She holds a Master's degree in Pediatric Emergencies (2016, UNIA), a Master's degree in Pediatric Palliative Care (2017, UNIR), and a University Expert in Bioethics applied in the clinical and healthcare field (2022, Institut Borja de Bioètica).
Since 2016, she has been working as an attending pediatrician in the pediatric palliative care team, later in the Palliative Care and Complex Chronic Patient Service (C2P2) at the SJD Barcelona Children’s Hospital, with a primary focus and experience in palliative care for patients with oncological and hematological conditions.
She has completed training stays at the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children (GOSH) in the Pediatric Oncology Service (2015, 2 months) and at the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO) in the Palliative Care Service (2022).
She actively participates in working groups of the Catalan Society of Pediatrics (SCP), the Spanish Association of Pediatrics (AEP), the Spanish Society of Pediatric Palliative Care (PEDPAL), and the Spanish Society of Palliative Care (SECPAL).
