Innovation Network of New Technologies in Mental Health (TECSAM)
The mission of the Innovation Network of New Technologies in Mental Health (TECSAM) is to provide treatment to all people with mental health disorders and to improve the quality of life of persons with severe mental health disorders and their families. In order to achieve it, the TECSAM Network will work to accelerate technological advances based on research results as well as towards the detection of needs that would signal areas with treatment gaps.
TECSAM aims to bring together and integrate all mental health research carried out in the territory in this area, together with optimizing the resources for the valorization and transfer of knowledge from research groups to clinical practice and society.
The TECSAM Network also benefits from the synergies and complementarity with the Mental Health Cluster of Catalonia, where many companies are active in the provision of mental health services and other related productive sectors. We should also highlight the participation of associations of people with mental health problems and their families, who are represented in all the organs of the network.
